“What are you looking for?”
In this Sunday's Readings - Second Sunday In Ordinary Time (2B), January 15, 2012 - John the Baptist looks hard at Jesus and says, ‘Look there is the Lamb
of God.’ The two disciples with him immediately follow Jesus. Our

"Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths."
This Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, we celebrate the Second Sunday in Advent
and the Readings feature John the Baptist. He didn’t look or talk like
the Jews of his time. He was not part of the crowd that had always held
power. Yet he talked about change. And the people listened, and
followed. Our Discussion Questions will guide your Sunday Bible Study with family, friends and church groups.

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations"
The Feast of the Ascension has got to be one of the most dramatic in the liturgical year. Not perhaps very dramatic in its liturgy which is the same as any other Sunday; but dramatic in what it is all about: the lifting up of the Risen Jesus to his place in heaven. Our Discussion Questions for June 5, 2011 will guide your Sunday Bible Study sessions with family, friends and church groups.

"He will give you another Advocate to be with you always"
This Sunday, May 29, 2011, is the last Sunday of Easter. We are being prepared for the Ascension of Jesus, which comes next week. He has risen from death and now he is ready to be human in another way, that is, to go to up to heaven, as we hope we will too. Our Discussion Questions will guide your Sunday Bible Study sessions with family, friends and church groups.

"I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved."
In the Catholic tradition this Fourth Sunday after Easter - celebrated this year on May 15, 2011 - is called Good Shepherd Sunday. It is also kept as a Special Day of Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood and the Religious Life. Our Discussion Questions will guide your Sunday Bible Study sessions with family, friends and church groups.

"Do not be unbelieving, but believe."
Last Sunday, the Lord signaled the apostles that though they had deserted Him on Good Friday, He forgave them. This Second Sunday of Easter, or Divine Mercy Sunday, Jesus sends Thomas the message that He forgives him for his disbelief in the Resurrection despite reliable eyewitnesses. Our Discussion Questions will guide your Sunday Bible Study sessions with family, friends and church groups.

"You cannot serve God and mammon."
The Gospel set before us this Sunday, February 27, 2011, continues Christ's teaching as given in the Sermon on the Mount. The extract is all about Divine Providence. Jesus does not deny the reality of human needs, but forbids making them the object of anxious care and, in effect, becoming their slave. In our modern consumerist society, it is a teaching that is frequently neglected - even by

"Prepare the way of the Lord"
“Stay awake,” we heard last week. “Prepare,” we hear this week. Stay awake for the opportunities to serve the Lord. Prepare to find Him. The words of John the Baptist in this Sunday's Readings warn us against sleeping our lives away, against spiritual laziness. Our Discussion Questions for Dec. 5, 2010 - Second Sunday of Advent - will guide your Online Sunday Bible Study sessions with your family

"Therefore, stay awake!"
The readings for this First Sunday of Advent, the first Sunday of the liturgical year don’t sound very different in tone from the last Sunday of the outgoing year, not counting the special readings for the Feast of Christ the King. At first sight that might seem a bit surprising —but, of course, in the Church this sort of thing happens all the time and when you take a closer look you usually find

"Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!"
Nine of the 10 lepers healed in this Sunday's Readings - October 10, 2010, 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time - did not return to praise God for their healing. Nevertheless, they are healed, and the wideness of God's mercy is exalted even in their ingratitude, and ours. Both the stories of Naaman story and that of the10 lepers teach us some powerful lessons about remembrance, gratitude, healing and
